This is the section of the Short Stories Competition "Posem fil a l’Agulla" that we have been organising continually since 2004. It is a special competition for short stories that is open to everyone, the only stipulations being that they may not be longer than the extension page and must be written in Catalan. Once we have collected enough, we will publish a book which will draw together all the winning or finalist stories. Here you can find all the information necessary to take part: rules, deadlines and prizes. This is a cultural initiative of e-traducta, created so that everyone can write something and participate, thus making literature an open discipline within the reach of everyone who has something to say – as long as it's brief! We encourage all of you to participate every year!   Ximo Cerdá Boluda (1975) Xàtiva (València) És Enginyer de Telecomunicacions, Doctor en Electrònica i Llicenciat en Físiques. Actualment és professor titular de la Universitat Politècnica de València, on alterna les seues obligacions docents amb la seua activitat investigadora. Ha publicat nombrosos treballs científics en publicacions especialitzades com 'Lecture Notes in Computer Sciences', 'Nuclear Instruments and Methods' o 'Journal of VLSI Signal Processing'. En prosa ha sigut guardonat amb premis com el Francesc Bru de relat, el Centre14 de relat, el Premi Bescanó de prosa, el Premi de prosa de l’ajuntament del Perelló i el Premi Llavor de Lletres del setmanari “La Fura”. És autor d’una novel·la per a xiquets, “L’incomparable Bradford Bannings”, i una novel·la de misteri, “La mà de Déu”, ambdúes publicades per l’editorial Barcanova.   Albert Prats Costa 30 anys Eivissa Som llicenciat en Filologia Catalana per la UB i estudiant de Comunicació Audiovisul a la UOC. Actualment faig feina de redactor al 'Diario de Ibiza'. Com a escriptor he guanyat el premi de relat en català d'Art jove 2005 amb el conte 'Unes matances distintes' (publicat amb els guanyadors d'altres modalitats) i el Premi Baladre 2005 de l'Institut d'Estudis Eivissencs amb el recull de relats 'Un hivern encapotat i altres històries' (pendent de publicació).
